Canard Vineyard
1016 Dunaweal Lane | Calistoga
Some vineyards are simply beautiful. Others carry history in their soil. Canard Vineyard is both. The 25-acre estate was once the homestead of Reason P. Tucker, a celebrated figure in California pioneer history, and its 1859 residence was long the center of social life in the region.
When Rich and Carolyn Czapleski discovered the property in 1983, they knew they had found something rare. Four decades later, the family continues to produce nine single-vineyard estate wines from sustainably grown, dry-farmed grapes -- including fruit from 140-year-old Zinfandel vines still standing on the property — with an unwavering commitment to quality over quantity.
Festival patrons will enjoy a memorable wine-pairing luncheon on these historic grounds, where history, land, and a family's lifelong dedication come together.

Canard Vineyard is a quietly distinctive presence in Napa Valley: a historic working ranch where winegrowing remains deeply tied to the rhythms of the land. Family-owned and independently farmed, the estate produces nuanced, small-lot wines shaped by thoughtful stewardship, understated hospitality, and an enduring sense of place.
