Arts in Schools

Over the past five years, Festival Napa Valley has invested more than $1,000,000 in Napa County public school K-12 visual and performing arts programs, including grants underwriting Napa Valley Unified School District’s first-ever arts education master plan, supporting professional development for teachers, and funding programs for at-risk youth. Through this ongoing and long-term partnership, Festival Napa Valley is committed to ensuring that the youth of Napa County are offered the life-affirming opportunities of a vibrant arts education.

Sleepover at the Museum

Through a special arrangement with composer Karen LeFrak and her publisher Random House, we have created a multimedia online version of her book and orchestral composition, Sleepover at the Museum, which debuted in concert form at Festival Napa Valley in 2019. This is available to educators upon request and includes an online video in both Spanish and English and a workbook that can be distributed to students and their families.

Concerts for Kids

Festival Napa Valley’s Concerts for Kids provide admission-free opportunities for students to attend a live concert in a professional performance setting. For many young people, this is a vital first step in cultivating a lifetime love for the performing arts.
