The Olivia Decker Power of Music Series goes abroad with this special concert event on the idyllic private island of Li Galli off the coast of Italy. Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito performs with special guests Broadway singer and actress Christina Maxwell and pianist/conductor Adriano Pennino, in a concert that embraces the beauty of this unique setting and celebrates the power of music.
Join renowned flutist Jennifer Grim in conversation as she shares her inspiring life story following a four-course gourmet dinner paired with a specially curated selection of wines. Vintners Robin and Andréa McBride of the McBride Sisters Wine Company will also speak about their work. Celebrating the accomplishments of nationally recognized female artists and women working in the wine business, Women in the Arts at The Meritage is a special event speaker series which takes place in an exclusive and intimate setting at The Meritage Resort and Spa.

Gordon Getty's celebrated opera reimagined for film, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, receives a special screening at the historic Cameo Cinema in St. Helena. Getty’s fourth opera is based on the popular 1934 book Goodbye, Mr. Chips and other stories by James Hilton. Directed by Brian Staufenbiel, the film features tenor Nathan Granner, soprano Marnie Breckenridge, baritone Lester Lynch, and bass-baritone Kevin Short. The orchestra of stellar Bay Area players is conducted by Nicole Paiement. Members of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, conducted by Francisco J. Núñez, also perform.

Aptly described by KQED as a jazz “Jedi master,” acclaimed saxophonist, composer, and educator Richard Howell has performed and recorded with musical icons such as Etta James, Ray Charles, B.B. King, and Chaka Khan. He takes the stage with his swinging trio in this Novack Concert for Kids.

Festival Napa Valley kicks off its 17th season with a celebratory evening featuring two beloved masterpieces and one world premiere. The concert opens with a new work by rising young composer Yang Bao. Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas takes center stage for Joaquín Rodrigo’s iconic Concierto de Aranjuez. The evening culminates with pianist Alexander Malofeev performing Sergei Rachmaninoff’s lush Piano Concerto No. 2 – a fitting tribute to one of the world’s greatest composers on his 150th Anniversary. Kyle Dickson, 2023 recipient of the Joel Revzen Conducting Fellowship, leads Festival Orchestra Napa.

Rising international star Matteo Bocelli takes audiences on a journey through some of the most beloved songs of all time—Italian classics such “Quando Quando Quando,” timeless ballads like "Can't Help Falling In Love" and “Caruso,” favorite opera arias, as well as pop hits “Fall on Me” and “Perfect Symphony.” Bocelli will perform some of his original compositions, including selections from his upcoming debut album out September 2023, and previously released singles “Solo,” “Tempo,” and “Dimmi.” Joining Bocelli is award-winning Spanish violinist Francisco Fullana and special surprise guests. Maestro Eugene Kohn conducts.
Kathryn and Craig Hall are known for their commitment to sustainable winemaking practices, and their passion for hospitality and art is reflected in every aspect of their spectacular winery, HALL St. Helena. In 2003 they purchased the circa 1885 Bergfeld Winery with the intention of creating a place of stunning beauty that would match the exquisite wines they produce. They installed dozens of original artworks, restored and modernized the nineteenth-century architecture, and revitalized the vineyards. Today HALL Winery is truly a destination that combines the best of the past and the future.
Described as “the latest phenomenon of the Russian piano school” (Corriere della Sera), Malofeev came to international prominence when he won the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in 2014 at age 13. Since then, he has appeared with some of the world’s top orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. The piano virtuoso celebrates Rachmaninoff’s 150th Anniversary with a program featuring the composer’s most beloved works in the idyllic setting of Bouchaine Vineyards — the oldest continuously-operating winery in the region.
One of Napa Valley’s hidden gems, Dana Estates is tucked into the foot of the Mayacamas Mountains, where the unique terroir informs the character of its three single-vineyard wines. Organic, low-yield farming, along with an exceptionally selective harvest, ensures that only the most definitive fruit from each vineyard goes into the bottle.
To connoisseurs of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, few names have more cachet than ADAMVS. FIONA & HINA KHUONG-HUU
These sisters are a dazzling duo who, at just 16 and 18 years old, have performed around the world and brought home countless prestigious awards, from Hina’s 2023 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition win to Fiona’s first prize at the 2017 Grumiaux Competition. While the New York City natives continue their studies at Juilliard (and Hina pursues a double degree at Columbia University), they perform together and as sought-after soloists, including at this year’s Bouchaine Young Artist concert.

Maestro Constantine Orbelian leads Festival Orchestra Napa and a stellar lineup of soloists in Seasons of Hope, an evening of works featuring stories of courage, sacrifice, and hope. Cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper and vocal ensemble Volti perform Lera Auerbach’s Symphony No. 6, Vessels of Light, a piece dedicated to the extraordinary heroism of Chiune Sugihara, the Japanese diplomat who saved thousands of Jewish refugees during World War II.
In literature, lore, and winemaking, Odette is a legend — a princess, a ruler, a preeminent figure in history. She is also the namesake of the Odette Estate Winery, where some of Napa Valley’s finest wines are produced, and the picturesque setting for tonight’s Patron Dinner.
HARPER & COLE RANDOLPH
Twins Harper and Cole Randolph share exceptional musical talent. They picked up instruments during kindergarten, and their paths diverged only slightly: cellist Cole studied math, music performance, and economics at the University of Wisconsin before joining the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, while violist Harper earned her music degree from the University of Michigan and was awarded third place at the 25th Annual Sphinx Competition, Senior Division. The Randolph twins will share something else at Festival Napa Valley — the performance stage for this Bouchaine Young Artist concert.
B Cellars has long been celebrated for its commitment to exceptional food and wine experiences. This legacy can be traced back to the fateful day in 2002 when co-founders Jim Borsack and Duffy Keys met at a Fourth of July barbecue, where they bonded over their shared love of Cabernet Sauvignon and their dream of crafting complex, perfectly balanced, artisanal wines. With the help of acclaimed winemaker Kirk Venge, once hailed by Food & Wine magazine as "One of the Top 20 New Winemakers in the World," they turned that dream into reality. Dining alfresco amid the stunning backdrop of the Napa Valley, guests at today’s luncheon will experience the artistry and craftsmanship that make B Cellars a true standout in the region.
For more than half a century, St. Helena’s Duckhorn Vineyards has produced some of Napa Valley’s most prized wines – including America’s first and foremost Merlot. Over the years the endeavor that Dan and Margaret Duckhorn started with just 10 acres has grown into an abundant vineyard with gracious gardens and the Duckhorn Vineyards Estate House. That’s the setting for this delicious luncheon, where guests will be treated to a farm-to-table meal paired with Duckhorn’s award-winning wines.

The Frost School of Music All-Stars light up the stage performing favorite works by two legendary American composers, Henry Mancini and George Gershwin. Mancini's musical genius has produced timeless classics such as "Moon River" and the "Pink Panther Theme," while Gershwin's contributions to American music include the iconic "Rhapsody in Blue" and "An American in Paris." This concert celebrates one of America’s quintessential art forms.

A star-studded ensemble of dancers impacted by the war in Ukraine come together to perform new works and beloved classics at Festival Napa Valley’s annual Dance Gala. Led by Xander Parish, a former principal dancer at the Mariinsky Ballet, the evening features dancers who were previously part of Russia’s most elite dance companies, including the Bolshoi Ballet and Stanislavsky Ballet. Reunited in Dance is a testament to the resilience of dancers and the enduring power of ballet.
In 1948, Mario Trinchero and his family embarked on a journey west in search of a better life. They purchased an abandoned Prohibition-era winery in St. Helena and renovated it, starting a small-scale operation. Fast forward seven decades and Trinchero Family Estates has become one of the biggest family-owned wine companies in the country, boasting an impressive portfolio of over fifty wine and spirits brands from around the world. The Trinchero family has always been at the forefront of innovation in the industry, shaping the way Americans drink wine and consistently committing to sustainable farming practices.
BRESHEARS STRING QUARTET
The prodigious siblings have played music together since they were toddlers. Now, ranging from age 10 to 16, Dustin (violin), Starla (cello), Valery (violin), and Colin (viola) have performed as soloists and in ensembles from Argentina to Mexico to the UK (as well as on NBC’s Little Big Shots) and garnered gold medals at chamber music and solo competitions. The Quartet perform a special concert for the Festival’s Bouchaine Young Artist series.
Leslie and Rich Frank invite guests for an afternoon of food, wine and fashion at Miller House, a new state-of-the-art hospitality space overlooking the picturesque vineyards and mountains at Frank Family Vineyards. Designed by the renowned American architect Howard Backen and named in honor of the boundless contributions of Leslie Frank (née Miller) to the Frank Family Vineyards legacy, the space is both practical and elegant, featuring sustainably reclaimed wood, high ceilings, and natural earth tones that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Gaetano Donizetti's Don Pasquale
The luminous Spanish soprano Serena Sáenz makes her U.S. debut as Norina in Donizetti’s classic comedy, Don Pasquale. The stellar cast includes tenor Xabier Aduaga as Ernesto, tenor Alexey Lavrov as Dr. Malatesta, and baritone Lucas Meachem as Don Pasquale. Constantine Orbelian leads Festival Orchestra Napa in this enduring tale of love and deception. Jean-Romain Vesperini directs.
Nestled into the scenic Rutherford hillside, Quintessa is an architectural marvel, a graceful marriage of form and function. Every structure on the estate exudes a simple elegance and sensitivity to the environment, making it one of the most stunning wineries in the Napa Valley. Valeria and Agustin Huneeus welcome guests with their renowned generosity and a spectacular meal, thoughtfully paired with Quintessa's world-famous, handcrafted wines. Guests will dine under the stars, surrounded by picturesque vineyards. As the night progresses, a lively Latin dance band will take the stage, playing salsa, merengue, samba, and more. Guests will be invited to kick up their heels on the dance floor—a spirited end to a magical midsummer evening.
Celebrate the last day of the Festival’s Summer Season at Alpha Omega Winery’s annual barbeque brunch, a beloved tradition—and always an unforgettable gathering. Robin and Michelle Baggett welcome guests with their warm and heartfelt approach to appreciating the finer things in life. Their effortless hospitality ensures that visitors to their modern ranch-style Rutherford estate feel like family. Guests will enjoy a relaxed afternoon of food, wine, and music. Robin will man the grill and expertly roast a whole hog for a meal which is as delectable as it is festive — all paired with Alpha Omega’s phenomenal wines.
Festival Orchestra Napa draws the season to an exuberant close with two musical masterpieces: Stravinsky’s spirited Petrushka and Rachmaninoff’s immortal Symphonic Dances, the composer’s last major work.
