Novack Concerts for Kids

Fostering a lifelong love of music

Festival Napa Valley’s Novack Concerts for Kids series provides admission-free opportunities for students to attend live concerts in a professional performance setting. For many young people, this is a vital formative step in developing a lifetime love for music, theater and dance.

With access to an international network of renowned artists, the Festival is able to provide rich and diverse programming to engage young audiences. We provide transportation at no cost to participating public schools and nonprofit partner organizations, and produce original interactive curricula to accompany select performances. These materials are made available along with recorded performances as a distance learning resource for educators in the region and across the nation. Many of the concerts include a bilingual component and translation of the curriculum in order to better serve native Spanish speaking students and families.

Festival Napa Valley has established relationships with key nonprofit organizations serving Napa County youth in order to bring these opportunities to the most underserved kids in our community. We work closely with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley, Napa County public schools, the Napa County Office of Education, the Napa Valley Education Foundation, Camille Creek Community School, and other youth centered organizations, reaching more than 3,000 young people and their families each year.

Virtual Programming & Distance Learning Resources

To expand the impact of our educational programs and in response to the physical restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, Festival Napa Valley produced digital content for educational use in distance learning and convalescence settings. Building new relationships with nonprofit partners such as UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals and the New York Philharmonic, the Novack Concerts for Kids series reached beyond the physical confines of the traditional concert hall to brighten the lives and minds of children unable to attend live concerts.

For information about attending an upcoming Novack Concerts for Kids or accessing our virtual concerts, please email Festival Napa Valley’s Director of Education.

Novack Concerts for Kids during the school year are accessible to school groups only. Novack Concerts for Kids during the Festival's Summer Season are open to families with children and children in day camps. Adults may only attend if they are accompanied by a child or a group of children. For more information or group reservations, please email or call our box office.
