This Novack Concert for Kids offers a rare chance for students to engage in conversation with a living composer, Eleanor Alberga, and experience her work as performed by the extraordinary musicians of The Green Room Ensemble.

Performers
Eleanor Alberga is a highly-regarded mainstream British composer with commissions from the BBC Proms and the Royal Opera, Covent Garden. With a substantial output ranging from solo instrumental works to full-scale symphonic works and opera, her music is performed all over the world.
Thomas Bowes is one of the UK’s most versatile and accomplished violinists, performing as a soloist, chamber musician, concertmaster, and artistic director. Thomas is very active in the realm of cinema, and millions have heard him on over 200 film soundtracks.
Recipient of a 2026 Avery Fisher Career Grant and winner of the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Competition, violinist Nathan Meltzer is establishing a holistic and multi-faceted career as both a soloist and chamber musician, with passions for both standard and contemporary repertoire.
Award-winning Jamaican-American violist Jordan Bak has achieved international acclaim as a trailblazing artist, praised for his radiant stage presence, dynamic interpretations, and fearless power. The recipient of the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Alexandra Jupin Award, Bak was a prizewinner in the Sphinx, Lionel Tertis, and Concert Artists Guild Competitions.
Acclaimed for his stellar stage presence and joyous musicianship, cellist Sterling Elliott is a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and the winner of the Senior Division of the 2019 National Sphinx Competition. As a soloist and chamber musician, Elliott regularly performs at celebrated venues throughout the UK, Europe, and the United States.

1325 Adams Street, Saint Helena
This historic performance venue, designed by Wolf & Higgins and completed in 1932, includes 325 fixed seats, a stage, backstage space, and lighting and audiovisual equipment. The auditorium provides a welcoming setting for concerts, educational programs, school performances and community events.
