Join acclaimed cellists Eileen Moon and Jonah Kim for a concert of celebrated chamber works performed by an all-star sextet of distinguished musicians. Known for their dynamic artistry and musical chemistry, Moon and Kim bring together friends and collaborators for a vibrant program showcasing the intimacy, virtuosity, and spontaneity of chamber music at its finest.

Eileen Moon

Cellist Eileen Moon, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Juilliard School, followed by studies at the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna, Austria. Eileen received 2nd Prize at the Geneva International Competition in 1991 and 4th Prize (the highest award given that year) at the Tchaikovsky International Cello Competition in 1993. She performed with the New York Philharmonic for 25 years, including positions as section cello and Assistant Principal Cello.

Jonah Kim

Jonah Kim is an artist of great charisma and originality. His beauty of tone is immediately distinguishable by its signature sweetness. Kim invites the listener in with “the cosy warmth of a well-loved cashmere sweater," (Gramophone) then “dives into the music with courage underpinned by formidable technical prowess, with which he achieves a dazzling performance.” (All About the Arts)
