Portraits of a Planet

Donald Pettit had been exploring our world through photography for 35 years when he launched to the International Space Station in 2002, bringing his artistic vision and photographic expertise with him.  His "Portraits of a Planet: Photographer in Space" exhibition features 20 of his photographs personally selected and edited from more than half a million he captured during his 372 days living and working in space.  The exhibit, which is on display at Charles Krug Winery through the month of July, is curated by special arrangement with Peter A. Blacksberg.

Tonight's talk includes Dr. Pettit and the publisher of his book Spaceborne, Warren Winter. At the conclusion of the presentation, guests have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with Dr. Pettit.
