Vintner Marimar Torres is based in Sebastopol, but she is a citizen of the world, with six languages at her command and vineyards in the Russian River Valley, the Sonoma Coast and a home in the coastal Catalan town of Sitges, just south of her native Barcelona, Spain. So when Torres alights in the Valley and hosts a gathering at her Marimar Estate, it’s a can’t-miss occasion.
This package grants you entrée to one of those special evenings, with two seats at the table for a wine dinner on the estate. The event has a special connection to Festival Napa Valley, as it doubles as a benefit for our Arts for All scholarship fund, and you’ll be in the good company of fellow enthusiasts of this exceptional program.
Torres, who grew up in a prominent winemaking family, crafts her wines entirely from estate-grown grapes, and is celebrated for her elegant European-style Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. Among her family’s most outstanding vintages is Familia Torres Black Label Mas la Plana, an internationally esteemed collection grown on a petite plot of land and created in extremely limited quantities. You’ll taste eight selected Black Label vintages, along with other rare and unforgettable wines.
After dinner you’ll be treated to a private concert by Festival favorite, cellist Sophia Bacelar, a rising star in the classical music world. After a night like this, you’re sure to enjoy sweet dreams in your luxurious room at the nearby Farmhouse Inn, with its peaceful, rustic setting and farm-to-table spa treatments.
