Tenor Victor Cardamone has garnered much attention and critical acclaim over the last decade. A four-time regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and four-time Corbett Competition award winner, Cardamone’s accolades include finalist and winner of the Prize of the Audience in the Mildred Miller International Voice Competition and grand finals winner of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation International Voice Competition. He is a recipient of a Richard F. Gold Career Grant and a graduate of the prestigious Adler Fellowship Program at San Francisco Opera.
Cardamone has appeared with the Cincinnati Opera, Sacramento Opera, Opera Columbus, Pittsburgh Festival Opera, Opera Naples, Wolf Trap Opera, and Opera Western Reserve, as well as the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Portland Symphony Orchestra, and Charleston Symphony, among others. An advocate and champion of new music, he has lent his voice to a number of significant projects over the past few years, including Blind Injustice and The Hours. Cardamone received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Youngstown State University, with a double major in applied voice and French horn, and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Artist Diploma in Opera Studies at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.
