Chae Eun Yang began her training at Universal Ballet Academy before studying at Sunhwa Arts School, and eventually graduated with a degree from Korea National University of the Arts. During that time Ms Yang competed with great success at many prestigious ballet competitions. Her awards include, but not limited to, Finalist at Prix de Lausanne, 2nd Prize at Varna International Ballet Competition, 1st prize at Tanz Olymp Berlin, and 1st prize at Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition. It was at this last completion that she was offered a corps de ballet contract to the Houston Ballet by Artistic Director Stanton Welch.
Since joining Houston Ballet in 2013, Yang has had the privilege of dancing a variety of classic and contemporary works. Some of the choreographers who’s work she has performed include Stanton Welch, Jiri Kylian, George Balanchine, Fredrick Ashton, Kenneth Macmillan, William Forsythe, John Cranko, David Bintley, Ben Stevenson, and Jerome Robbins.
After four years with the Houston Ballet, Yang spent a short time with the National Ballet of Canada where she danced works by Rudolf Nureyev, Christopher Wheeldon, James Kudelka, Robert Binet, and John Neumeier. Since then, Yang rejoined the Houston Ballet where continues her dancing career.

Melanie Hamrick, Joanna DeFelice, and Christine Shevchenko bring their exhilarating production, A Night at the Ballet, to Napa for the annual Dance Gala. The program features highlights from some of the world's most beloved classical ballets, including Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, and Carmen. The evening also includes a special appearance by guest artist Nicholas Palmquist, performing in the West Coast premiere of Can't You Hear Me Knocking, set to the music of The Rolling Stones.
