Bouchaine Young Artist Concert: Steven Banks Jackson Family Wines Amphitheater at CIA at Copia

Doors open at 10:30 am

Recognized for his “glowing mahogany tone” (Seen and Heard International) and “pristine clarity, enviable precision, and emotional heat” (Classical Voice of North Carolina), Steven Banks is establishing himself as an important young artist on the saxophone, which is rarely heard as a solo concert instrument. An advocate for diversity and inclusion in music education, performance, and newly commissioned works, Banks has written and lectured extensively on the history of Black classical composers. He brings his brilliant artistry to this Bouchaine Young Artist concert, which features timeless classics and original works.
