When a wine earns a perfect score from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, it’s considered a classic of its variety, and worth going out of your way to taste. With this package, 16 lucky guests will go to St. Helena’s Trinchero Family Estates, where you will have the chance to experience a curated selection of 100-point wines. Your hosts will be Bob Torres, the third-generation owner of the estate and a member of the Festival’s Board of Directors, and his wife, Maria.
This wine-lover’s dream evening starts with a sampling of Robert Parker 100-point wines, with a hands-on cheese pairing and a cheese-making demonstration. You’ll then be led through the winemaking process on a private tour, including a barrel tasting. Then you’ll head to the reserve library for a five-course wine-pairing dinner prepared by Chef James Houghton, the estate’s culinary director and executive chef.
The evening mellows out with fireside cigars and port on the Solera patio, and a friendly game of bocce under the stars. Each couple will depart with a magnum of Trinchero Napa Valley wine, signed by the winemaker—the perfect end to a perfect night.
