Rediscover the 1939 Technicolor classic The Wizard of Oz as it returns to the big screen in a spectacular live-to-picture performance with Festival Orchestra Napa, conducted by Ming Luke. Follow Dorothy and her companions on their journey from Kansas to the Emerald City along the Yellow Brick Road, as Herbert Stothart's iconic score is performed live alongside the film.
Featuring Judy Garland's original studio recordings and treasured songs including "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "The Merry Old Land of Oz," this concert will thrill adults and children alike.
The evening begins with a festive reception in the Patron Lounge, offering patron passholders a chance to mingle before the performance. General Admission ticket holders can enjoy Charles Krug wines available for purchase. During intermission, patrons will enjoy an elegant dining experience in the Patron Lounge and General Admission guests can explore a variety of options on offer in the Festival's Culinary Garden. A dessert reception for patrons closes out the night on a sweet note.

Performers
Ming Luke is a versatile conductor who has excited audiences around the world. He has been recognized nationally for his work in music education and has served on grant panels for the National Endowment of the Arts and the Grants and Cultural Committee of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission.
Festival Orchestra NAPA is an all-star ensemble of musicians from major international orchestras and faculty from renowned institutions, together with participants from the Frost School at Festival Napa Valley's Blackburn Music Academy. As the central ensemble, the orchestra interacts with nearly every program the festival provides.
