Vintner's Luncheon at Wheeler Farms

There is something so special about Wheeler Farms. You feel the subtle pull of Napa’s past when you step foot onto this historic property, just south of St. Helena. Established by its namesake founder, Charles H. Wheeler in 1871, Wheeler Farms has always been both on the pulse of viticulture and steeped in sustainable, back-to-basics agriculture. This luncheon, hosted by proprietors Bart and Daphne Araujo, celebrates the best of both those ideals, with a multi-course, farm-sourced lunch created by Wheeler Farms executive chef Tom Harder and pulled from the property’s estate gardens, olive grove, and heritage fruit orchard. Lunch is paired with Wheeler Farms’ renowned small-production wines.

In 2014, a group of oenophiles led by Bart and Daphne Araujo purchased the property and committed to continuing the Wheeler Farms’ legacy, reconnecting the property with its agricultural and winemaking roots.

Today, Wheeler Farms is a diversified expression of Napa Valley’s rich agricultural history. In addition to more than seven acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc planted in 2016, the estate is home to a heritage fruit tree orchard, olive trees, edible gardens, chickens and bees. The state-of-the-art winery on property offers the Wheeler Farms’ winemaking team, as well as other quality-driven wine brands, the opportunity to produce wine using the most advanced technology available.
