The Summer Season concludes with a grand finale honoring the United States Semiquincentennial and celebrating the breadth, brilliance, and legacy of American music and its composers.
Festival Orchestra Napa, under the baton of JoAnn Falletta, performs works drawn from the American symphonic canon -- music shaped by city, landscape, cinema, and song. The program includes Leonard Bernstein's Overture to Candide, Aaron Copland's Rodeo Suite, George Gershwin's An American in Paris, Gordon Getty's Overture to Plump Jack, and John Williams' Star Wars Suite.
Artwork created by students and seniors in Festival Napa Valley's How I See Music program accompanies the performance, illuminating the music through color and imagination.
