Jarvis Conservatory
1711 Main Street | Napa
Presented in collaboration with the Jarvis Conservatory
Step back in time with a family-friendly Saturday morning program of silent films and early animated cartoons brought to life on the Jarvis screen by live piano accompaniment and custom live sound effects.
Enjoy early slapstick gags at their finest in The Cook (1918), directed by Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, starring Arbuckle and Buster Keaton, and see Walt Disney’s hand-drawn precursor to Mickey Mouse — Oswald the Lucky Rabbit — in The Mechanical Cow (1922) and Trolley Troubles (1927). Selections from the Fleischer Brothers’ Koko the Clown cartoons and more round out this not to be missed adventure in early cinema fun.
$10 per guest

Venue
Utilizing a grant from the Jarvis family, the Conservatory began operation in downtown Napa in 1995, providing training and support for artists. The 220-seat Conservatory, described as a jewel of a theater and an acoustic marvel, is dedicated to serious art forms not often available in other places, and at the same time, art forms relating to the large Hispanic community of Napa.
