Originally from El Salvador, Andrea Barrera is a seventeen year old singer/songwriter now based in Napa. Winner of the 2024 NAPA IDOL competition, Andrea also was selected by Amplifi Napa Valley as their first grantee, receiving support to record and release her debut EP Capitulo No.1.

The American Canyon Library opened on August 14, 2012, in the newly remodeled Crawford Building, a location used previously as the American Canyon City Hall. Originally established in 1959, the community had been served by a leased storefront location and the Napa County bookmobile prior to that.
