Join us for a one-day gathering focused on arts and wellness, bringing together leading neuroscientists, music therapists, and musicians to explore music's role in brain health, senior wellness, and youth mental health. The event will also explore scientifically documented curative medical practices that harness the power of music.
Dr. Daniel J. Levitin, internationally acclaimed neuroscientist, cognitive psychologist, musician, and New York Times bestselling author (This is Your Brain on Music; I Heard There Was a Secret Chord: Music as Medicine; The Organized Brain; Successful Aging) will deliver the keynote address. The day begins with a captivating Festival Live! concert, followed by a dynamic lineup of panel discussions and interactive presentations. These will range from a workshop on music and movement for stress reduction to a presentation on music therapy best practices.
Symposium registration includes complimentary access to the 4:30pm screening of Ennio, a documentary chronicling the career of acclaimed composer and musician Ennio Morricone who benefited from a life full of music and music making until the age of 93.
