Nia Imani Franklin, composer, vocalist, and 2019 Miss America, performs songs ranging from opera to pop, her new single EarthSun, and other works in this free Concert for Kids. This performance is followed by a Q&A session with Franklin.

All attendees must be accompanied by a child.

Bouchaine Young Artist Concert: Alexander Malofeev

Pianist Alexander Malofeev was just 13 when he won the Gold Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Youth Competition in 2014. Dubbed “the latest phenomenon of the Russian piano school” (Corriere della Sera), Malofeev has since performed with the Russian National Orchestra and other leading orchestras and toured around the globe. The piano wunderkind makes his Festival Napa Valley debut in this admission-free concert at the CIA at Copia.

Bouchaine Young Artist: Audrey Vardanega

Praised as a “musically eloquent” player (San Francisco Classical Voice) “with the kind of freedom, authority, and strength… that one expects from the world’s finest pianists” (The Piedmont Post), Audrey Vardanega has performed as a solo and collaborative pianist across Europe, China, and the United States. In this admission-free concert, Vardanega performs works for solo piano by Chopin and Mozart.

A young artist with huge talent, Hanzhi Wang brings fresh excitement and passion to the accordion. She broke ground as the first accordionist to win the prestigious Young Concert Artists audition in its 57-year history of discovering extraordinary musicians. Praised for her captivating stage presence, Wang brings her mastery to this unique concert, presented as part of the Bouchaine Young Artist Series.
