Antinori Napa Valley

Antinori Napa Valley is the realization of a long-standing dream of 25th-generation vintner Piero Antinori to produce great Antinori Family wines in Napa Valley, California. Located in the rugged eastern mountains of Napa Valley, the ANV estate with its wine cellars and vineyard holdings produces wine from Tuscan heritage with Napa Valley pedigree. The wines illustrate the same commitment in tradition, authenticity, and quest for excellence as well as others that bear the name Antinori. The site for the wine estate was chosen for its mountainous terrain, rocky and well-drained soils, high elevations, and beautiful landscape—above all an ideal location for winegrowing. The 1210-acre estate includes approximately 550 acres of vineyard planted at elevations ranging from 1,450 - 1,800 feet and the estate wine cellar that includes an elaborate network of caves carved into the mountain used for fermentation and barrel ageing the wine. Antinori Napa Valley produces estate grown, estate produced, and estate bottled Proficio, A26 Chardonnay, Townsend Cabernet Sauvignon and Antica Cabernet Franc.

The Antinori Family has been making wine since Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Florence vintner's guild, the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri, in 1385. The core of the Antinori philosophy is to maximize the undiscovered potential of specific wine regions, soils and microclimates while staying true to the tradition, culture, and taste that give Antinori wines their individuality. Throughout its long history, which now spans 26 generations, the family has always personally managed the business from its offices in Florence, making innovative, sometimes daring choices—but always with unwavering respect for tradition and the land. Today, Marchese Piero Antinori is Honorary Chairman of the company, which is now being run by his daughters – the 26th Generation – Albiera, Allegra and Alessia.
