Program is open to all instrumentalists 18 years and older.

The Frost School at Festival Napa Valley's Blackburn Music Academy is a tuition-free immersive summer music program for emerging professional instrumentalists in the idyllic setting of Napa Valley.

Led by a distinguished core faculty of musicians from The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and leading orchestras and institutions, the Academy gives participants the opportunity to study and perform with some of the world's most accomplished artists.

Academy musicians participate in chamber and orchestral concerts, workshops, and a variety of professional development activities during the two week program, while enjoying the natural beauty and splendors of Napa Valley. All participants receive scholarships and housing, as well as assistance toward food and local transportation expenses.

Details regarding the 2026 Summer Season application process are coming soon. For more information about the program contact Academy Assistant Director, Zach Salsburg-Frank.
