Conductor Filippo Ciabatti leads Festival Orchestra Napa in a lively concert featuring two classical superstars. Ray Chen, hailed as “one of the finest violinists of his generation” (Los Angeles Times), performs Mendelssohn’s masterful Violin Concerto. Festival favorite Jean-Yves Thibaudet performs George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue — a dynamic work combining elements of jazz, classical and popular music, and one of America’s most famous orchestral pieces — marking its 100th anniversary.
Food will be available for purchase at Festival Napa Valley's Culinary Garden at Charles Krug from Empress M, Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream, and Ray Ray's Tacos. Wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and caviar from Calvisius Caviar Co. will be available for purchase from Charles Krug.
General admission tickets are sold out.
Lawn tickets are available for $35 per guest.

Violinist and online personality Ray Chen redefines what it means to be a classical musician in the 21st century. With a global reach that enhances and inspires new audiences, Chen's remarkable musicianship transmits to millions around the world, not only onstage, but also through innovations such as the Tonic app.
Through elegant musicality and an insightful approach to contemporary and established repertoire, Jean-Yves Thibaudet has earned a reputation as one of the world’s finest pianists. He is especially known for his diverse interests beyond the classical world, including numerous collaborations in film, fashion, and visual art.
Praised for his “sensitive and nuanced” musicianship and for delivering performances “with admirable sweep and tension,” Filippo Ciabatti is a dynamic and versatile conductor who enjoys a multifaceted career. A native of Florence, Italy, Ciabatti has appeared as a guest conductor with numerous orchestras in Europe and the Americas.
Festival Orchestra NAPA is an all-star ensemble of musicians from major international orchestras and faculty from renowned institutions, together with participants from the Frost School at Festival Napa Valley's Blackburn Music Academy. As the central ensemble, the orchestra interacts with nearly every program the festival provides.
