Bouchaine Young Artist Concert: Fiona Khuong-Huu Bouchaine Vineyards

Doors open at 10:30 am

Fourteen-year-old Fiona Khuong-Huu was a prizewinner at the Grumiaux and Spohr Competitions, and recently received the Salon de Virtuosi Prize in New York. She has performed at Buckingham Palace with Maxim Vengerov, and with orchestras in the United States, Italy, and Belgium. Currently a student of Kenneth Renshaw and Li Lin at the Juilliard School, she has taken master classes with Vadim Gluzman, Ivry Gitlis, Shlomo Mintz, and Menahem Pressler.

Born in New York City, fourteen-year-old Fiona Khuong-Huu studies the violin with Professors Li Lin and Kenneth Renshaw at the Juilliard Pre-College division. She has won first prize at the 2017 Grumiaux Competition and third prize at the 2019 Louis Spohr Competition, and she was recently awarded a prestigious career grant award from the Salon de Virtuosi.

Praised as a musician of "compelling artistry and power" by the Seattle Times, the gifted American pianist Julio Elizalde is a multi-faceted artist who enjoys a versatile career as soloist, chamber musician, artistic administrator, educator, and curator. He has performed in many of the major music centers throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America to popular and critical acclaim. Since 2014, he has served as the Artistic Director of the Olympic Music Festival near Seattle, Washington.

Bouchaine Vineyards is owned by Festival major benefactors Gerret and Tatiana Copeland. Today, the winery is one of Napa Valley's leading producers of sustainably farmed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
