Pianist Audrey Vardanega and cellist Tanya Tomkins join with visual artist Celia Liberace in the genre-bending Chopin's Edges, exploring works related to fantasy through the lens of Liberace’s drawings. The program combines live music with live drawing to engage audience members in a multisensory experience.

Performers
Praised as a “musically eloquent” player (San Francisco Classical Voice) with a “bewitching musical presence” (The Piedmont Post), Audrey Vardanega has performed as a solo and collaborative pianist across Europe, China, and the United States. She is the founder and artistic director of Musaics of the Bay, a nonprofit chamber music series dedicated to music mentorship in the Bay Area.
Cellist Tanya Tomkins is equally at home on Baroque and modern instruments. Tomkins spent 14 years in the Netherlands during which time she traveled throughout Europe, performing with many chamber ensembles. She has been featured on many chamber music series to critical acclaim, including those at the Frick Collection, 92nd Street Y, and Concertgebouw Kleine Zaal, as well as Great Performances at Lincoln Center and San Francisco Performances.
Celia Liberace is a fine artist based in New York City whose work represents an amalgamation of both traditional representation and modern interpretations of contemporary life, referencing portraiture and the human form to communicate topics regarding femininity, identity, sustainability, and self-actualization.
