Crown your Festival experience with an evening of the very finest in music, art, and cuisine. The honorees need no introduction: Maria Manetti Shrem and Jan Shrem, legendary philanthropists, entrepreneurs, patrons of the fine and performing arts, and visionary supporters of Festival Napa Valley. Their generosity and deep commitment to the arts, to education, and to their community have benefited countless organizations.
The gala event takes place in San Francisco at the spectacular Saint Joseph’s Arts Society, a beautifully renovated Romanesque church that is home to some of the Bay Area’s most intriguing cultural events. Dinner will be created by one of California’s top chefs and paired with wines from The Hess Collection and the Boisset Collection — two wineries that have close ties to the Shrems and deep roots in Napa Valley.
You’ll be treated to a private recital by the world-renowned lyric soprano Renée Fleming, whose artistry has earned her countless honors, including four Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Arts, France’s Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, and Sweden’s Polar Music Prize. One of the most celebrated singers of our time, Fleming is also a close friend of Maria Manetti Shrem, so expect a heartfelt performance to honor the couple’s outstanding contributions to the arts and to Festival Napa Valley.
