Acclaimed American soprano Lisa Delan, pianist Kevin Korth, and clarinetist David Barnett perform a recital of art songs, including the world premiere of Jake Heggie's Unlocked together with his Three Folk Songs. The program also includes Carl Loewe’s Scottish Images and selections from Louis Spohr's rarely performed Six German Songs.

Soprano Lisa Delan has performed on some of the world’s leading concert stages, including Lincoln Center, Davies Symphony Hall, Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional, Moscow Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Hall, and in a special appearance at Windsor Castle. Her festival appearances include the Bad Kissingen Festival in Germany, the Colmar Festival in France, the Rachmaninoff Festival in Novgorod, Russia, Festival Napa Valley, the Tuscan Sun Festival in Taormina, Italy, and the Domaine Forget Festival in Quebec.

Kevin Korth

As an in-demand recitalist and coach, pianist Kevin Korth has collaborated with such legendary artists as Frederica von Stade, Isabel Leonard, Jake Heggie, Nadine Sierra, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Sasha Cooke, John Holiday, Lise Lindstrom, Joel Krosnick, and Deborah Voigt.  Praised by Gramophone for playing that is “superb,” and “full of color and character,” his debut album, Out of the Shadows, a recording of American art song with soprano Lisa Delan and cellist Matt Haimovitz on the Pentatone Classics label was warmly received.

David Barnett
David Barnett

David Barnett is a performer and teacher of both modern and historical clarinets and recorder. Based in the Bay Area, his musical interests span the gamut of medieval through contemporary. His playing has been described as "as compelling as anything since the pied piper" (San Francisco Chronicle). Barnett was Music Director for the notorious San Francisco arts group, the Noh Oratorio Society, and with them performed the world and U.S. premieres of works by Harrison Birtwistle, Gordon Cross, Charles Shere and Richard Felciano, among others.
