Cardinale winemaker Chris Carpenter is as passionate about extraordinary wine as he is about music — and you’ll enjoy the best of both on this three-night trip to New York City, with three bespoke evenings shared with Chris and his wife, Tina.
Your first night features a performance at Tarisio Rare Violins, where Charles Yang, a Grammy Award-winning violinist and member of Festival favorite string trio Time for Three, brings rare instruments to life. You will get an up-close and personal view of some of Tarisio’s storied violins — many dating back to the 17th Century — the musical equivalent of the 100-point Cardinale wines you’ll be tasting during the performance.
The next evening takes you to Broadway to see Emmy, Tony, and Grammy Award-winner Jonathan Groff’s star turn as Bobby Darin in Just in Time, the hit new musical the New York Times describes as “sensational.” Rare backstage access to one of the season’s most coveted shows puts you “in-the-know” and adds to the night’s allure.
The finale is an intimate jazz concert by the legendary Wynton Marsalis. A recipient of nine Grammy Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, and the National Medal of Arts, Marsalis performs with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Sextet at the equally legendary Café Carlyle. The evening begins with cocktails and a chef’s dinner and ends when you return to your luxurious accommodations upstairs in The Carlyle. To commemorate the experience, you will take home three bottles of Cardinale’s finest wines — a lasting tribute to this singular musical experience of Manhattan.
