The journey begins with three days in Paris, with destinations customized to your personal interests, whether dining, shopping, museums or the city’s remarkable historic sites. You’ll travel to Versailles to celebrate the opening of the Royal Opera’s season. This gala experience includes an opera performance in the marvelous royal opera house followed by a gala dinner, complete with fireworks over the palace’s famous gardens, enjoyed from the famed Hall of Mirrors.
You’ll travel first class by train from Paris to Bordeaux for two nights at the hotel La Maison d’Estournel in the Médoc. That evening you’ll dine at Château Mouton Rothschild with a member of the Baron Philippe de Rothschild family. The next day, you’ll enjoy an immersive day at Château Mouton Rothschild, join the harvest crew for lunch on the estate grounds, and tour the Château and its Museum of Wine in Art, complete with a hosted tasting.
You’ll then check into the Grand Hotel Bordeaux and enjoy a private tour of the neighboring L’Opéra National de Bordeaux. That evening, you’ll have prime seats at a performance of Mythologies, the celebrated ballet by Angelin Preljocaj and enjoy dinner at the Michelin-starred Le Pavillon des Boulevards.
The following day, you’ll be treated to a private tour of the medieval city of Saint-Émilion, lunch at Les Belles Perdrix, and an elegant dinner at Opus One’s townhouse. Then, return to Paris for a final, festive evening before bidding France au revoir.
