Chef Massimo Bottura’s famed Osteria Francescana – awarded three Michelin stars and twice ranked the best restaurant in the world – books six months in advance, but on this extraordinary, magnifico culinary experience in Italy, your table for six is guaranteed. You’ll be Chef Massimo’s personal guests for dinner as well as throughout your three-night stay in Emilia-Romagna.
Your accommodations are at Casa Maria Luigia, an 18th-century guest house that Massimo and his wife, Lara Gilmore, have transformed into a cozy and exclusive retreat. It’s an immersion in luxury and beauty complete with contemporary art, a collection of cars and motorcycles, and a library of 8,000 vinyl records to peruse.
The Casa is also home to Francescana, where your wine-paired tasting menu is one of several sublime dining experiences on the itinerary. You’ll sit down to unforgettable meals at Bottura’s newest venture, the chic trattoria Al Gatto Verde, and your choice of Franschetta58 in Modena or the Ristorante Cavallino in Maranello. You’ll also learn to make authentic tortellini.
You’ll discover the region’s culture on tours of historic Bologna and the Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti followed by a private concert. And you’ll take home more than memories. After a tour of Bottura’s Acetaia Maria Luigia, each couple receives a prized bottle of their spectacular signature vinegar, plus a signed copy of Bottura’s Casa-inspired cookbook. As if that’s not enough, you’ll also receive three room nights at the five-star St. Regis in Venice to extend your Italian adventure.
Buon viaggio!
