Multiple Grammy winner and 2010 “Producer of the Year,” Concord Records Recording Artist Gregg Field is one of the most versatile and highly sought-after producers, drummers, and educators in music and has been voted into Modern Drummer magazine readers’ poll five times. World class musicians and singers alike, a veritable who’s who of the music world including Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Andrea Bocelli, Seal, Michael Buble, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Mraz, Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock, Count Basie, Placido Domingo, Ella Fitzgerald, Barry Manilow, Robbie Williams, LeAnn Rimes, Natalie Cole, John Williams, Steve Miller, Arturo Sandoval, Carole King, Dave Koz, Kevin Spacey, Phil Ramone, Liza Minnelli, Sean Combs, Brian Wilson, Wynonna Judd, Vince Gill, k. d. Lang, Shania Twain, Olivia Newton John, Mel Torme’, Amy Grant, Adam Sandler, Johnny Mathis, Anne Murray and Shelby Lynne are among his musical collaborators.

At age 24, Field toured with Count Basie from 1980 through 1982, Ella Fitzgerald from 1985 through 1986 and Frank Sinatra from 1991 through 1995. He can be heard on Sinatra’s historic, multi-platinum Duets and Duets II recordings. Field has performed with numerous symphonies worldwide including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, Nashville, Seattle, Pittsburgh and the National Symphony in Washington D.C. In 2006, Field was invited by President Bush to perform at the White House.

Field has appeared on thirty two GRAMMY® nominated recordings, seven of which have been awarded the coveted GRAMMY®. Not only a highly respected musician, Field is a busy record and television producer. In November 2010 he was awarded the coveted Latin GRAMMY® “Producer of the Year” as well as Latin GRAMMYS® for producing and engineering the Arturo Sandoval album “A Time For Love.” Field also produced the Emmy nominated PBS “Great Performances” TV special “We Love Ella,” the Concord-Starbucks release and the #1 Billboard Album — Ray Charles’ Ray Sings, Basie Swings. The 2008 Grammy Nominated Cannon Re-loaded, Ella Fitzgerald’s Love Letters from Ella, Monica Mancini’s double-Grammy nominated “Ultimate Mancini” and Patti Austin’s Grammy nominated “For Ella.”

Field is a partner at Concord Music Group. Concord swept the GRAMMY® Awards with the multi-platinum Ray Charles release Genius Loves Company and in 2009 received a record 38 GRAMMY® Nominations.

Field has served as a Recording Academy Governor and Trustee (Grammys) and Chairman of the Grammy Producers Committee. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the University of Southern California-Thornton School of Music Board of Councilors and is a member of the prestigious Bohemian Club of San Francisco.

Festival Napa Valley commemorates the 100th birthday of the legendary film and television composer, Henry Mancini. His extensive repertoire boasts timeless classics such as "Moon River," "The Pink Panther Theme," and "Days of Wine and Roses." This centennial tribute features The Frost School of Music’s Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, joined by Henry’s daughter, two-time GRAMMY® nominated vocalist Monica Mancini, eight-time GRAMMY® winner Gregg Field, and Steinway piano artist and multi-GRAMMY® nominated arranger and producer Shelly Berg.
