Festival Napa Valley is proud to celebrate the grand opening of the Brannan Center, a new performing arts and community cultural hub in Calistoga, by collaborating with the Center in the presentation of specially curated performances on the Festival Napa Valley Showcase Stage on Saturday, October 4, during the Center’s inaugural weekend.
“We are thrilled to be part of this exciting milestone for Calistoga and the entire UpValley community,” said Lissa Gibbs, Festival Napa Valley’s Vice President of Education & Community. “The Brannan Center represents a new era for the performing arts in the region, and its mission to empower the community with accessible programming aligns closely with Festival Napa Valley’s longstanding commitment to making the arts accessible to all.”
The grand opening weekend features a full lineup of performances and activities designed to engage those of all ages. A 10 am ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday kicks off the festivities. A Community Open House follows until 4 pm, including self-guided tours of the 11,000 square feet state-of-the-art venue; free performances courtesy of Festival Napa Valley, Mariachi Jalisco de Miguel Orozco, Music in the Vineyards, Nine Lives Band, and Upstage Napa Valley; plus family-friendly activities and a variety of food truck offerings.
The Festival Napa Valley Showcase Stage at the Community Open House features Argentine tango with Trio Tangazo at 2:45 pm, choral masterpieces with Aeternum Choir at 3:20 pm, and cellist Eileen Moon with tenor Sidney Ragland at 3:45 pm.
