St. Patrick’s Day is March 17 and a wee’ bit of Irish music is a great way to mark the season. Don your green and join your friends ages 2–8 at the Napa Library as Napa Valley favorites Kith & Kin share fine reels, funny stories, and toe-tapping jigs.
 

This event is part of the MusicTime at the Library with Festival Napa Valley program and is supported by Festival Napa Valley’s Arts for All funds and the Napa County Library.

Kith & Kin
Kith & Kin

Founded by the late John Kelley of St. Helena, Kith & Kin has been playing traditional Irish music in the Napa Valley for more than 30 years. In addition to jigs and reels and traditional Irish favorites the group adds its own original compositions. Bandmembers are Kathi Brotemarkle on vocals and bodhran; Ron Brunswick on guitar and Irish bouzouki, Ann Gilleran on fiddle, mandolin banjo, guitar, whistle and vocals, Linda Howard on accordion, guitar and vocals, and Michael Waterson, vocalist and shanachie.

Napa County Library’s mission is to enrich people’s lives with books and information. In order to better serve the growing service area, and with a combination of funds from the library, the Friends of the Library, and federal and local grants, the current library on Coombs Street was built in 1974 and expanded in the 1990s.
