MusicTime at the Library Featuring Benjamin Glasgow

Get ready to warm up your February with a Saturday morning of steelpan percussion as Benjamin Glasgow shares the music of Caribbean Carnival with young audiences. A special selection of Carnival themed children’s picture books will be available at the event and the Festival Napa Valley bubble machine bubbling. Dancing is strongly encouraged!


This event is part of the MusicTime at the Library with Festival Napa Valley program and is supported by Festival Napa Valley’s Arts for All funds and the Napa County Library.

Originally from the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean, Benjamin Glasgow has been playing steel drums – better known in Trinidad as steelpan – throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 1985.

Napa County Library’s mission is to enrich people’s lives with books and information. In order to better serve the growing service area, and with a combination of funds from the library, the Friends of the Library, and federal and local grants, the current library on Coombs Street was built in 1974 and expanded in the 1990s.
