Young Original

Young Original is a 4-piece acoustic band with a passion for breathing new life into classic American music. Since forming in 2022, they’ve delighted audiences across the midwest with their riveting live shows and dynamic performance videos that have racked up millions of views online. Their original song Doubt Your Love was featured in NPR’s Tiny Desk Top Shelf, and their dynamic live concerts have taken them across the United States, performing at the acclaimed Rudy’s Jazz Room in Nashville, Tennessee, the exclusive Claremont Hotel in Southwest Harbor, Maine, and the historic halls of the University of Pittsburgh. 

The band features a striking combination of instrumental mastery on the piano, guitar, mandolin, dobro, accordion, and cello with equally stunning vocal harmonies. The group is composed of multi-instrumentalist and composer Benjamin Morren; vocalist and percussionist Lily Day; cellist Silas Johnson, who has performed with The Johnson Strings to sold out crowds in Branson and abroad; and producer and creative director Joe Xiques, who has traveled the world playing bluegrass music on a plethora of instruments.
