Sidney Ragland

Sidney Ragland is an accomplished tenor and native Californian praised for his “exquisite voice” and “precisely textured, warm and rich vibrato” (Medium, 2023). He recently appeared as a tenor soloist in Adolphus Hailstork’s cantata I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes with Soli Deo Gloria, under the baton of Julia Morris. Mr. Ragland’s other recent performances include Bastien in Pocket Opera’s production of Bastien und Bastienne, Strabone in Ars Minerva’s production of La Flora, Prince Ramiro in Pocket Opera’s production of La Cenerentola, Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas and Azaël in L’Enfant Prodigue both with the Handel Opera Project. He made his European debut in 2022 at the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Germany, where he sang the role of Eisenstein in its production of Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. Mr. Ragland is an alumnus of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and resides in the Bay Area.
