Since making her Carnegie Hall debut in 2011, prize-winning pianist Rieko Tsuchida has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. Tsuchida has appeared as a soloist with the California Symphony, Ashdod Symphonic Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, and San Domenico Orchestra, and her many prizes include the SONY USA Foundation Grant from the Salon de Virtuosi, YoungArts NFAA Finalist, and third prize in the IIYM International Piano Competition. Recent performance highlights include her recital debut at Salle Cortot in Paris and at the Eiffel Tower. This season, she will present concerts in China, Japan, France, Armenia, and across the United States.
Tsuchida currently splits her time between New York and Paris. In Paris, her ensemble IMAGO is Ensemble-in-Residence at the Fondation des États-Unis and regularly performs and commissions new works by living composers. Tsuchida also serves as Co-Artistic Director of Classical Music Collection Japan (CMCJ), a project funded by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote the classical music culture of Japan, and she made her concert debut in Japan with CMCJ in 2024 at Tokyo’s Oji Hall. Tsuchida earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the Peabody Institute and her Master of Music at the Juilliard School.
Performances
