Taiwanese violist Pei-Ling Lin enjoys a fulfilling musical life as a chamber musician, educator, and soloist. Her passion for chamber music and education has brought her to major concert halls and festivals across the nation and abroad. As a co-founder of the Telegraph Quartet, Lin was the winner of both the Senior String Division Gold Medal and the Grand Prize at the 2014 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, as well as the winner of the Walter Naumberg chamber music competition in 2016.
A fervent educator, Lin strongly believes in making connections with students and engaging in music-making in creative ways. She has given masterclasses and coachings throughout the world and has served as a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory, University of Michigan, and Augustana College. She has also taught at summer festivals including Yellow Barn Young Artist Program, Festival Napa Valley, Music in the Vineyards, Hidden Valley Chamber Music Workshop, SoCal Chamber Music Workshop, and Center Stage Strings. Lin received her bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School, master’s degree from Rice University, and Artist Certificate in Chamber Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
