Belgian singer Patrick Bolleire trained as a pianist, but originally pursued a career as an engineer. It was only after meeting his voice teacher Lubov Tomasson-Stuchevskaya at age 27 that he decided to dedicate his life to music.
Bolleire's early successes include second prize at the International Canari Lyrical Song Competition and second prize at the Concours International de Marmande. After his debut in the studio of the Opéra National du Rhin, Bolleire became a sought-after performer in Europe, singing in prestigious venues such as the Concertgebouw and La Monnaie in Brussels. His international presence grew as well, with roles in major productions such as Une flûte enchantée under the direction of Peter Brook, which toured globally from 2010 to 2011 and won a Molière Award for Best Musical Production.
Bolleire has continued to build a distinguished career, performing roles in works by Verdi, Wagner, Mozart, and more. He has worked with renowned conductors such as Marc Albrecht, Alain Altinoglu, and Mikko Franck. This season, he continues to captivate audiences at the Opéra de Tours, Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, Opéra de Marseille, Opéra de Massy, Opéra National de Lorraine, and Festival Napa Valley.
