Harpist Megan Conley is a member of the Brooklyn-based chamber orchestra The Knights. She has performed with the New York City Ballet, Orchestra of St. Luke's, International Contemporary Ensemble, Bang On a Can All-Stars, and Sarasota Opera. Megan was previously the principal harp of the Houston Symphony, toured with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, and performed regularly as a substitute for the world's longest-running musical, The Fantasticks. She is a first price winner of the International Ima Hogg Concerto Competition.
Megan received her bachelor and master’s degrees from Rice University, and in 2005, she was awarded a Fulbright Grant to study at the École Normale de Musique in Paris. She comes from a musical family, and by the time she was 15, she had played on several albums, including the Grammy Award-winning Los Super Seven. Megan is also the founder of Ocean Music Action, a non-profit organization that uses music to inspire action to protect our oceans through unique, multi-sensory concerts paired with volunteer activities. Megan lives in Honolulu, Hawaii with her husband, bassist Shawn Conley, and their son.
