Kate Inoue

Kate Inoue is currently a lead dancer with Los Angeles Ballet. Her repertoire with the company includes performing Aurora and Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty, Russian Girl in George Balanchine’s Serenade, Marie (Sugar Plum Fairy) in The Nutcracker, Nichette in Val Caniparoli's The Lady of the Camellias, Bloom by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Tableaux Vivants by Nicolas Blanc, as well as in Christopher Wheeldon's Morphoses, Fool's Paradise and much more.

Kate started her early training at Palos Verdes Ballet School and later went to Osaka, Japan to study at Etoile Ballet School. In 2017, she was awarded second place at the Crea Ballet Competition in Hamamatsu. Later that year, she moved to Carlisle, Pennsylvania to train at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the directorship of Marcia Dale Weary and Darla Hoover. Upon graduating high school, she danced with Pacific Northwest Ballet as a member of the Professional Division for a few months before joining Los Angeles Ballet.

As a guest dancer, she has performed Don Quixote Pas de deux, Flames of Paris Pas de Deux, excerpts from George Balanchine’s Who Cares, excerpts from Coppelia, and the Grand Pas de deux from The Nutcracker.
