Julia Adam Dance Experience (JAD) nourishes communities by creating immersive experiences that bring together world-class art, regenerative agriculture and cuisine, and environmental stewardship. JAD cultivates creativity, practical skills, and belonging, bringing people closer to themselves, one another, and the ecosystems around us. JAD was founded in 2014 by renowned ballet choreographer Julia Adam, a former principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet, and Aaron Lucich, a producer, rancher, and regenerative agriculture consultant. Together, they developed a series of site-specific performances rooted in a shared belief that art, regenerative agriculture, and community are inseparable from the health of the land and the people who inhabit it.
Since JAD’s debut at the historic Brock Schreiber Boathouse on Tomales Bay, JAD has created twelve immersive experiences at working farms and ranches across Northern California, including RockRose Ranch, Big Mesa Farmstead, and Tara Firma Farms. This July, JAD celebrates its thirteenth anniversary with LUNAE, presenting six evenings of farm-to-table cuisine and world class ballet under the stars at Tara Firma Farms.
