Jesse Micek

Jesse Micek has a vast array of experiences working as a pianist around the San Francisco Bay Area. He currently serves as the accompanist for the Oakland Symphony Chorus and the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Chorus. Previously, he was the collaborative pianist for the Berkeley Community Chorus, Chora Nova, Chabot College Choir, Blackhawk Chorus, and Danville Girls Chorus. Micek is the Director of Music Ministries at Trinity Presbyterian Church in San Carlos, where he leads the choir and praise band. 

Beyond his work as a performer, Micek was a faculty member of the Chabot College music department from 2020-2026. Since 2009, he has operated a piano teaching studio at his home in Castro Valley. A member of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC), he formerly served as President of the Southern Alameda County Branch of that organization. Micek graduated magna cum laude from Cal State East Bay with a bachelor’s degree in classical piano performance. When not working with choirs or as an educator, he makes music as a composer, jazz musician, and bassist and singer with the rock band Droneyard.
