Born on the island of Guam, pianist Jenny Snyder began her studies at age five and made her concerto debut at age 11. At 12, she made her solo recital debut and took the position of harpsichordist for the Black Hills Chamber Music Society of South Dakota. Snyder received a Bachelor of Music degree with Highest Distinction in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music, and she continued her graduate studies at Eastman in Accompanying and Chamber Music. Snyder was a recipient of Eastman's Excellence in Accompanying Award, and she has since been a collaborative pianist to a wide variety of musicians from professional whistler Jason Serinus, the voice of Woodstock from the Peanuts, to renowned mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade.

Jenny is a champion of new music, and she plays synthesizer with the Grammy Award-winning ensemble Alarm Will Sound. As part of the Nu Deco Ensemble, she collaborates annually with YoungArts composition winners to debut their works. Jenny’s own compositions, largely vocal, can be heard in synagogues and churches, as well as in recitals. Jenny resides in Miami with her husband, son, and cat. When she is not making music,  she can be found running, cooking ambitious meals, and appreciating the outdoors.
