Jeni Olsen is an inspiring thought leader, visionary, and changemaker. After two Napa teenagers died by suicide in 2016, Jeni felt compelled to close her 20-year-old graphic design business and turn her extensive volunteer work into a full-time career in the nonprofit sector. She founded Teens Connect with a mission to equip middle and high schoolers with tools to manage their stress and learn resilience, provide safe places and people with whom to connect, and give them a voice in their community. In 2020, Teens Connect merged with Mentis, Napa’s Center for Mental Health Services. As the Director of Mentis’ Prevention Division, Jeni manages wellness programs through a mental health lens together with her bilingual, bicultural team of specialists. As a director, speaker, and writer, Jeni is often sought out for her in-depth expertise around teens and her forward-thinking, collaborative approach to supporting youth and their complex needs. She is a passionate advocate for mental health, wellness, and youth empowerment and has a strong background in graphic design and the visual arts.
