Gavriel Heine’s repertoire encompasses a wide range of symphonic, ballet, and operatic masterworks. At The Mariinsky Theatre alone, he has conducted well over 800 performances. Both on tour with the Mariinsky Orchestra and Ballet and as a guest conductor, he has performed across the world in some of the most prestigious opera houses, festivals, and concert venues, including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden in Germany, Teatro Regio Torino in Italy, LAC in Switzerland, Gergiev Festival in Finland, Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg, Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo, Tianjin Grand Theater in China, and Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, as well as the Kennedy Center, Segerstrom Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, and Boston Opera House in the United States.
Heine’s operatic repertoire includes Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte; Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia and La Cenerentola; Verdi’s Macbeth, La forza del destino, and Otello; Puccini’s La bohème, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, and Il Trittico; Bizet’s Carmen; and Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, among others. His equally varied ballet repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Le Corsaire, La Sylphide, and Don Quixote, along with 20th century and contemporary works.

The Pacific Symphony and young pianist Tianxu An make their Festival debuts in a night of musical masterpieces. An performs Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto, known for its sweeping melodies and technical demands. The program also features Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake Suite, conducted by Gavriel Heine, a timeless ballet score.
