Francesco Gabriele Frola

Francesco Gabriele Frola is a principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet. He began his career at the National Ballet of Canada, where he rose from apprentice to principal dancer. In 2018, he began dancing with the English National Ballet while still performing in Canada, and in 2020, he became a lead principal with the English National Ballet, moving to perform with that company full-time. 

Frola began dancing at age three at his parents' school, Professione Danza, in Parma, Italy. When he was 15, he competed at the Prix de Lausanne and was awarded a scholarship to the School of the Hamburg Ballet in Germany. He furthered his training at the Fomento Artistico in Cordobés, Mexico before again competing in the Prix de Lausanne and receiving his apprenticeship at the National Ballet of Canada.

A Night at the Ballet

Melanie Hamrick, Joanna DeFelice, and Christine Shevchenko bring their exhilarating production, A Night at the Ballet, to Napa for the annual Dance Gala. The program features highlights from some of the world's most beloved classical ballets, including Don Quixote, Diana & Acteon, and Le Corsaire. The evening also includes a special appearance by guest artist Nicholas Palmquist.
