Emma Zoe Harris

Emma Zoe Degala Harris is a professional ballet dancer, born in Napa and raised in Yountville, California. Emma has performed internationally with Het Nationale Ballet Junior Company in Amsterdam The Netherlands and Ballet Manila in The Philippines. She is a recipient of two silver medals from the Youth American Grand Prix and a scholar of Oleg Vinogradov’s International Youth Ballet Program.

Emma received her formative training from the Napa Valley Ballet, under the direction of Jeannette Petrick. She grew up performing on the stage of The Lincoln Theater and when it reopened in 2013, at fourteen years old Emma danced Fokine’s Dying Swan in the gala. That same year Emma began attending lessons at City Ballet School in San Francisco under the direction of Galina Alexandrova. She furthered her studies at Ellison Ballet in New York City and graduated with a diploma from the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC.

Having danced the full range of the classical repertoire Emma is privileged to have been involved in the creation of original works including a principal role in Juanjo Arqués’ “Finger in the Air,” soloist in Meisner and Gerris’ “Grimm” — an original hiphop ballet, and Lisa Macuja’s “The Sleeping Beauty” in the role of Maleficent.

Emma currently resides in Los Angeles, California and is a guest principal dancer and ballet teacher. In July of 2023 she had a serendipitous full circle moment performing at Festival Napa Valley’s Founders Dinner with Quixotic Fusion and looks forward to returning to the festival as a solo artist in the Bouchaine Young Artist Series with Alisa Sadikova.
