Allison Fahey

Allison Fahey

American mezzo-soprano Allison Fahey was most recently an Apprentice Singer with The Santa Fe Opera, where she covered Grimgerde in Wagner’s Die Walküre. Previously, she was a Bailey Apprentice Artist with Palm Beach Opera, covering Stéphano in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette and Flora in Verdi’s La traviata. She made her professional debut with the Lakes Area Music Festival, performing Mother Goose and covering Baba the Turk in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress. Additional stage credits include Baba the Turk (The Rake’s Progress) and La Ciesca in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi with Yale Opera. In the summer of 2023, she joined Des Moines Metro Opera as an Apprentice Artist, covering Clarice in Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges. At Yale Opera, Ms. Fahey sang the title role in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia and Bradamante in Handel’s Alcina. On the concert stage, she has appeared as Alto Soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Waterbury Symphony and in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Yale Symphony Orchestra. In November 2025, Ms. Fahey was a participant in the Opera for Peace Academy in Washington, DC. She holds both a Master of Musical Arts and a Master of Music in Opera from the Yale School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music from Stetson University.
