In a region defined by stunning vineyards and innovative wineries, Beringer stands out as one of the most storied and significant makers in the history of California Wine Country. Guests at tonight’s dinner will be immersed in Beringer’s beautiful surroundings — and, of course, treated to the bounty of the winery.
A visit to Beringer is an experience of visual wonder, from the lovingly preserved Rhine House, with its Victorian stone façade, soaring turrets, and lush gardens to wine caves that were hand-dug into the Spring Mountain hillside more than a century ago. The winery is as visionary as it is historic, and its commitment to sustainable practices — adopted long before sustainability became fashionable — make it a forward-thinking leader in the industry.
Patrons at tonight’s dinner will be treated to a gourmet meal, award-wining wines, and a special performance by Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito with rising star Victoria Thuy Vi McDowell — a definitive Festival Napa Valley experience.
Performers
Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito is an international crossover recording artist, acclaimed for his pop-opera delivery of songs. Revered as “a charismatic and dulcet-toned singer" by the San Francisco Chronicle, Pasquale has released nine records, numerous public television specials, and has toured internationally performing both original compositions as well as collections of songs that have influenced his career.
Victoria Thúy Vi McDowell is a 19-year-old soprano that can sing in 8 languages, play the piano, and play the violin. She is currently a second-year Vocal Performance Music Major at San Jose State University. She has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and was named the “Voice of San Jose, Jr.” by the San Jose City Council for singing the US, Vietnamese and African American Anthems at San Jose City Hall, stadiums, and many community events. She was just recently renamed by the San Jose City Council as “The Voice of The Capital of Silicon Valley.”
