Jane Fujishige Yada

Jane Fujishige Yada is an Orange County businesswoman and philanthropist who grew up on her family’s farm in Anaheim, where the Fujishige family has grown strawberries, vegetables, and herbs since 1952. As Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center grew around it, the farm became part of the Anaheim Resort Area, and in 1998 the family sold the majority of its land to The Walt Disney Company. The family continues to farm in Orange, Ventura, and Santa Clara counties, and helped found California Berry Cultivars, a strawberry breeding company that makes its varieties publicly available to farmers large and small.

Jane co-manages the family’s real estate portfolio under Harbor Field Holdings, spanning agricultural, residential, industrial, office, and hospitality properties. She oversaw the design and entitlement of Lambert Ranch in North Irvine, a 169-home community that earned more than 32 building industry awards, including Community of the Year and six Gold Nugget Awards. She also helped keep all 450 Black & Decker employees in Orange County through the company’s merger with Stanley, and partnered on a Hilton-branded hotel on the family’s Anaheim property that Tripadvisor ranked the city’s top family hotel for multiple years.

Jane has been involved with Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Pacific Symphony, CHOC, City of Hope, A3M, Hoag Hospital, Second Harvest Food Bank, and numerous other organizations. She is also a devoted fan of her hometown Angels and Ducks, and lives in Orange County with her son, Grayson, a graduate of Chapman University.

Jane received her Bachelor of Arts in English from UCLA.
